Autism, a provocative word, those who live with it want to be understood, those who have children with it want people to understand and those who don’t know about it thinks it does not exist.
I have children who suffer with this across the whole spectrum, you kind of get into a default circle of like-minded families as society does not fully understand.
It is utterly heartbreaking when you take your daughter out to build a bear to purchase a new dress for her huggle bear and her entire class are in there for a party (apart from her) when you realise that bullying by non-inclusion is a symptom of lack of understanding within the community of autism as a whole.
Keeping your head up when inside you are broken with pain, as the look on your 8 year daughters face when she realises is an awful feeling for a parent…
